Grandparent’s Day is scheduled for Friday, October 10th. This is a special day for the students and their grandparents. We will begin with Mass at 10:00 A.M. Following Mass the grandparents are invited to have lunch with their grandchildren and visit the classrooms. Lunch order forms/permission slips have been sent home and need to be returned no later than Friday, October 3rd.
Please remember that lunch and milk money are due on the first day of the school week. There are two people who come in specifically to do the lunch and milk money on this day. Someone has to go out of their way to take care of the money when turned in on the wrong day. The cost of lunch/day is $1.75, per week it is $8.75. The cost of milk is $0.30/day or $1.50/week.
Wednesday, October 8th is a scheduled half day. The Jr. High students will be dismissed at 11:30 and the Kindergarten – 5th will be dismissed at 12:05. There will be bus service, both to school and home from school, but there will not be latchkey. Students in grades K – 5 need to pack a snack, as there will not be hot lunch served. If students in grades 6 – 8 need to wait until the 12:05 dismissal, they should bring a snack as well.
8:00. Unless you have heard otherwise from your child’s teacher, the conferences will be open door; conferences will not be scheduled.
Beginning Monday, November 3rd students will no longer be permitted to wear shorts or skorts as school uniform, or on out-of-uniform days. Pants are to be tailored, traditional-style navy colored for students in grades K – 8 or khaki colored for students in grades 6 – 8. Pants may not be flared or made of denim material. Students may only wear the navy school-logo sweatshirts or a plain colored dark blue, gray, or white cardigan sweater or sweater vest over their white shirt. If you have any questions regarding the dress code, please check page 7 of your Parent/Student Handbook.
Congratulations to Rachel Magee who has been chosen to go to Los Angeles to audition in front of top agents from around the country. Rachel will be selling bookmarks during lunch for $0.50 to help finance her trip.
Just a reminder that we no longer collect the labels off of Campbell Soup labels; we have to have the UPC code. Thanks to everyone who continues to turn in the labels and boxtops. Congratulations to the following students whose names were drawn from the labels, boxtops, and Kroger receipts: Rachel Stoll, Marah Brooks, Ryan Stamp, Victoria Pollack, Jack Bradley, Carly Brooks, Eigen Matho, Nathan Wilke, Jimmy Rudisell, Allie Holmes, Connor Bellamy, Brogan Blondell, Paige Wilke, Leah Leyendecker, and Jake Schwarz.
